The Matsumura Mold & Pattern group continuously provides cutting edge technology to our domestic and overseas customers through the effective mutual cooperation and activation between our 4 businesses.
We began manufacturing metal molds for sand casting in 1970.
By the year 2000 we had established an integrated manufacturing structure (including gating system design, mold design, mold making, trial casting and testing), and techniques for assuring the quality of trial casting products. We provide metal molds for engine components, drivetrain components, and suspension components of automobiles and motorcycles.
We completed building a metal mold factory at our Chinese subsidiary in 2006, and began supplying Japanese car makers with metal molds. After that, we entered into business with Chinese automakers that has resulted in ongoing positive results. Furthermore, through cooperation between our head office and Chinese subsidiary, we are able to provide low cost, high quality metal molds.
In 2010 we began production of CVT solenoid valve parts for cars. With our advanced casting, machining, quality testing equipment and manufacturing know-how we support a wide range of needs, from trial casting to mass production.
In 2011 we developed our unique new surface modification technology "S-Tech" which is based on Mitsubishi Electric's electrical discharge surface treatment technology " MSCoating". We are providing samples of the longevity of mold parts and also developing applications in other new fields.
