MATSUMURA introduced two double column machining centers as a dedicated processing machine for large die cast cavities in March 2016. Previously, the maximum manufacturing size of metal molds was 800 tons. However, the double column machining centers enable the following processing.
1. Manufacturing metal molds for large die cast such as 1250 tons and 1650 tons class
2. Processing of 2500 tons class cavities
3. Simultaneous processing of movable core and fixed core
MATSUMURA will expand its business area through entering the manufacturing of metal molds for large die cast in addition to its main business of small and medium sized metal molds such as engine cylinder heads.
